Malicious hackers discovered way to deliver malware through unloved Ask Toolbar

For years people have been opening their browser and asking, “how the heck did that Ask Toolbar get installed?”

Enough is enough. Remove it.

Ask toolbar updates hijacked by attackers to install suspicious code

Researchers have discovered that an unknown attacker hijacked the update mechanism employed by Ask Partner Network (APN) to download suspicious code onto unsuspecting users’ PCs.
